Police Discover Cleaners at Jesse Baird’s Home Post-Alleged Double Murder in Lamarre-Condon Trial
Beau Lamarre-Condon is currently standing trial for the alleged double murder of former television presenter Jesse Baird and his partner Luke Davies. Testimony presented in the New South Wales Supreme Court revealed chilling accounts from witnesses, including details from a former friend of Lamarre-Condon, Georgia Cook.
During her court appearance, Cook recounted a visit to a Thai restaurant in Kirribilli on May 29, 2023, where Lamarre-Condon unnervingly asked her, “Would you help me hide the body?”. She stated that he claimed to have experience dealing with dead bodies, saying, “After I killed them, I would take their stuff, I would take them to a dumpster and I would take their bodies to bushland where no one would ever find them.” This testimony left a lasting impression on Cook, who remarked, “I’ll never forget what Lamarre-Condon said.”
The trial also included testimony from Daniel Hart, a friend of Davies, who shared that he received messages from Baird’s Instagram after the reported murders. Hart detailed a dinner with Baird and Davies on February 18, 2024, just before their tragic end. On February 19, after his messages to Davies went unanswered, Hart reached out to Baird, only to receive a message that implied Davies was unavailable due to a smashed phone screen.
On the morning of February 21, Hart expressed concern over Davies’ disappearance, noting that police had contacted him about finding Davies’ wallet. He reported trying multiple times to reach both Baird and Davies without success. Prosecutors allege that both men were killed around 9 AM on February 19, 2024.
Further complicating the timeline, police footage captured cleaners at Baird’s residence just days following the alleged murders, even while the scene was still classified as a crime scene. Detective Senior Constable Alistair Wright noted that, at the time of his visit on February 21, both victims were already deceased, but their bodies had not been discovered.
On February 22, three days post-allegedly double murder, a former colleague of Lamarre-Condon relayed that he exhibited signs of jealousy towards Baird following Baird’s new relationship with Davies, raising further suspicions about his potential motives.
The situation escalated when this colleague messaged Lamarre-Condon a link to an article about the missing men, asking, “Please tell me this isn’t your ex-lover??”. Notably, there was no response from Lamarre-Condon.
