Flow Engineering Secures $50 Million Series B at $750 Million Valuation
Flow Engineering, an innovative startup specializing in AI tools for hardware design, has successfully completed a $50 million Series B funding round, achieving a valuation of $750 million. The announcement was made on Wednesday.
The funding round was spearheaded by notable investors including Antonio Gracias from Valar Equity Partners, recognized for their investments in prominent companies associated with Elon Musk, notably SpaceX. Co-lead investor Gavin Baker from Atreides Management, a hedge fund with a history of backing Musk’s ventures as well as AI chipmaker Cerebras, also played a significant role. Sequoia Capital, which led Flow’s previous funding round in October, participated alongside former partner Roelof Botha, who now joins Flow’s board as an individual investor.
Founded just three years ago and based in San Francisco, Flow Engineering is focused on minimizing the challenges often encountered in hardware design. The company utilizes AI agents capable of automatically aligning CAD drawings with product specifications, simulation outcomes, and various testing results.
Flow has already secured a diverse array of customers, including Anduril, Rivian, Joby Aviation, and the joint venture General Motors PPU between General Motors and TWG Motorsports, among others.
