Nous Research Achieves $1.5B Valuation and Introduces AI Agents for Businesses

Nous Research, the innovative startup behind the open-source AI tool Hermes Agent, has successfully secured $90 million in a Series B funding round, resulting in a valuation of $1.5 billion. This funding milestone aligns with earlier insights reported by TechCrunch.

The investment was spearheaded by Robot Ventures, with significant participation from notable investors such as Nvidia, Union Square Ventures, Menlo Ventures, Samsung, and 1789 Capital, a firm associated with Donald Trump Jr.. With this funding, Nous Research has now accumulated a total of $158 million since its inception just three years ago.

With its user-friendly interface and robust capabilities, the Hermes Agent has gained considerable traction, evidenced by over 24 million copies cloned and an estimated 2.5% share of global AI token usage.

The newly acquired capital is earmarked for expanding Nous Research’s initiatives within the enterprise market, particularly through the introduction of “Hermes for Businesses.” This new offering will enable organizations to deploy tailored AI agents capable of executing complex workflows while ensuring data privacy and security.

By mid-September 2026, Nous Research reported annualized revenues of approximately $36 million, and forecasts indicate that this figure will surpass $100 million by the end of the year, as detailed by The Wall Street Journal.
