Australian Father and Two Children Found Dead in Bali Villa
A tragic incident unfolded in Bali, where authorities discovered the bodies of a West Australian father and his two young children in a villa. The circumstances surrounding their deaths are currently being treated as a potential murder-suicide.
Damien John Shaw, aged 56, originally from Fremantle, was found deceased along with his six-year-old son and four-year-old daughter inside their accommodation in Kuta, shortly after 10:00 AM local time on Sunday.
Reports reveal that Shaw had been looking after the children alone while their mother traveled to Jakarta approximately four days prior. On the morning of the tragic event, his wife attempted to contact him by phone. During the conversation, she reportedly heard one of the children crying, followed by her daughter pleading, “Stop, Daddy.”
When subsequent calls went unanswered, she grew increasingly concerned and reached out to the manager of their villa, requesting a wellness check on her family.
Local workers and neighbors responded by knocking on the door. After receiving no reply, they forced entry, only to find Shaw and his children deceased within the villa’s bedroom.
Bali Regional Police Spokesperson, Sr. Comr. Ariasandy, confirmed the discovery, stating, “Yes, there are Australian father and two kids found dead. The case is still being investigated.”
