Steakhouse Manager Arrested for Mother’s Murder After Bloodstained Knives Found

Stefano Cremasco Cicero, a 36-year-old manager of an upscale restaurant in Florida, has been arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing of his mother. According to police reports, authorities discovered bloodstained knives during their investigation at his apartment.

On Friday morning, Miami Police responded to a call regarding an “unknown request” at the Solitar Brickell apartment complex shortly after 5 AM. Upon arrival, they found Cremasco Cicero in the lobby of the 50-story building, with blood visibly evident on his hands and clothing.

In the aftermath, he informed police that he had been “defending himself” before leading them to his 47th-floor apartment, where they found an unidentified woman—later confirmed as his mother—suffering from stab wounds. She was pronounced dead at 5:08 AM.

A food delivery driver at the scene reported that Cremasco Cicero had asked her to call 911 as she arrived at the building. He initially contacted the police himself, eventually handing over the phone to the delivery driver, who noticed blood on him. When officers returned to take custody of the phone, they found it in her possession, as he refused to take it back.

In a subsequent search of the residence, police uncovered multiple silver kitchen knives stained with blood, two bloodied white shirts, a shattered wine bottle, and shards of glass, as documented in their sworn statement.

Surveillance footage corroborated the police timeline, showing Cremasco Cicero entering and exiting the building alongside his mother. Records indicated they returned to the apartment around 10:30 PM the previous evening, where they were alone during their elevator ride.

At around 4:25 AM, surveillance captured him in the elevator wearing clothing with blood on it, carrying a knife. He was seen dropping the knife, picking it up again, and then ascending to his apartment.

After several interactions with the delivery driver, who arrived at the scene, he was subsequently arrested and charged with second-degree murder. He is now being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.

Reports reveal that Cremasco Cicero holds an investor visa in the United States and is facing immigration holds following this incident. Details surrounding his personal life indicate that he was not on close terms with his mother after his parents’ divorce.

Cremasco Cicero and his wife, who was reportedly in France at a wedding during the incident, appear to have cohabited in the apartment since July 2024. Their relationship might have been strained, with claims from his wife indicating that he experienced significant stress related to the opening of a new restaurant, 1986 Steak House, which began operations in May.
