The prestigious awards known as the “Oscars of watchmaking” have announced their winners, showcasing a diverse array of timepieces celebrated for their technical mastery and striking design.
An expert panel of judges selected the finest watches in fifteen categories, including sports, jewelry, and travel timepieces. The Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) held the ceremony in Geneva earlier this month.
The apex accolade, the Aiguille d’Or Grand Prix, was awarded to the Chronomètre Ferdinand Berthoud FB 1, a remarkable creation from Ferdinand Berthoud.
This exclusive limited-edition watch, crafted from white gold and titanium, carries a price tag exceeding $200,000. It features a leather strap and houses a hand-wound movement with over 1,120 components.
The Public Prize, determined by votes cast online and at select global watch exhibitions, was given to the 33 bis Quai des Bergues by Czapek Genève.
The award-winning timepieces were displayed in major cities including Seoul, Rome, and Geneva, before making their final appearance at Dubai Watch Week on November 15.
This year’s 27-member international jury also recognized watches from renowned brands such as Audemars Piguet, Montblanc, MB&F, Piaget, TAG Heuer, and Tudor, alongside other distinguished names like Chanel, Eberhard & Co, Fabergé, and Grönefeld.
