Cerebras CEO Envisions Widespread Adoption of Personal AI Assistants at Home
Andrew Feldman, CEO and co-founder of Cerebras Systems, shares an optimistic vision for the future of artificial intelligence, suggesting that home AI appliances may soon become commonplace. Speaking at TechCrunch Disrupt 2026 on Tuesday, he expressed confidence that the integration of AI into everyday life is on the horizon.
When asked about the potential for AI to evolve into a necessity for home use, Feldman remarked, “Actually, I don’t think that’s very far away.” He highlighted the growing popularity of consumer AI agents, such as Meta’s Muse and Instinct, a startup now valued at $10 billion, as evidence of AI’s increasing relevance in daily tasks.
Feldman envisions personal AI assistants functioning locally within homes, stating, “Just like your cell phone, they’ll do some work on device and some work going back to the cloud.” He believes these assistants will develop a close understanding of their users, operate within a defined security framework, and even manage tasks like online shopping by accessing credit card information. “I think they will make a meaningful impact in making our lives better,” he added.
As a leader in AI hardware, Feldman’s perspective on the emergence of home AI technology aligns with his professional interests. However, he also brings a personal dimension to the conversation; he currently utilizes “a collection of agents” to manage his calendar, gather information about contacts, and streamline his day-to-day activities. While acknowledging that AI is already enhancing many formerly manual processes, he is particularly excited about exploring new capabilities that were previously unattainable.
Feldman prefers to focus on building the foundational technology that empowers other innovators. “One of the reasons I love being in infrastructure is because I don’t need the consumer-facing idea … I like building the platforms that other people’s ideas take flight on,” he noted.
Editor’s Take
This insight from Feldman underscores a pivotal shift towards personal AI integration in daily life. As AI technology becomes more accessible, users can expect to see drastic improvements in convenience and efficiency. This development could open new avenues for businesses and developers, igniting further innovation within the AI sector.
