At just 22 years old, Sam found himself in a desperate situation when he was shot by four individuals riding on two electric bikes. These assailants unleashed a barrage of bullets, including one fired from a Skorpion sub-machine gun.
The event occurred around 11:40 PM on August 16, 2022, as Sam and his friends were called out from a residence on Lavrock Bank in Dingle by a “bike horn.” Tragically, Sam was shot in the back and died shortly after arrival at the hospital despite the urgent efforts of both police and ambulance personnel.
